Captain John Lovewell Commission - The Torso Today

I've been commissioned to create a 1/2 life size bronze of a famous early American hero. Captain John Lovewell, who was killed by Abenaki Indians in a battle near Lovewell Pond.
John Lovewell (October 14, 1691 -- May 8, 1725) was a famous Ranger in the 18th century who fought during Dummer's War (also known as Lovewell's War). He lived in present-day Nashua, New Hampshire. He fought in Dummer's War as a militia captain, leading three expeditions against the Abenaki Indians.
Lovewell was commemorated by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow with his poem, "The Battle of Lovells Pond", and by Nathaniel Hawthorne with his story, "Roger Malvin's Burial".
I'm using a 36 inch tall TruForm human armature as the base for this clay. You can purchase a TruForm armature at http://www.truformarmatures.com

I am so glad you do this. Watching is so much more realistic than telling, if you know what I mean.
You did not tell me where you get the screw down joints on your armature. I cannot find them?????
On your model of the man that you study by, do the muscles come off? I know the arm comes off at the shoulder.
Another question. When you complete the man you are working on, do you leave the clay on and just reposition the joints?
So many questions.

The screw down joints were supplied by TruFormArmatures.com.. No the muscles don't come apart.. wish they did though. I just ordered another model that won't actually come out till next month. It's of a woman, and half of her is muscle, and the other half is skeleton.
What joints.. Not sure what you mean by that.. :) Merry Christmas Sheila.. to you and your family..
