First day of sculpting in my studio away from home. Just adjusting Sitting Bull's face. I'm taking him as far as I want.. When and if I sell one and need to get it ready for the foundry, then I'll come back, and adjust and maybe add on details.

Setting up the final items so I can start sculpting again.. Got the black sheet up as my back ground.. dirty though it may be. I'm debating putting a brown color sheet up... Well I'll think about that one.. gathering my sculpting tools. I have favorites and not so favorites.. Those are stored in a box.. while my favorites are gathered together. Clay is ready. Geronimo is ready to finalize. Next project being thought about.

My last couple of minutes till winter in my home studio. I'm moving back into my studio about 2 miles from my home. I notice a minor change that I had to make on Sitting Bull's face. So a took a minute or two to make that change.

Started taking a rough face of Sitting Bull and refining it a bit. Then I had an idea on how I can make the figure even more interesting...

Yesterday I worked on the face of Sitting Bull. Today I started to develop the rest of the story. Sitting Bull, born 1831 – December 15, 1890. was a Hunkpapa Lakota holy man who led his people during years of resistance to United States government policies. He was killed by Indian agency police on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation during an attempt to arrest him, at a time when authorities feared that he would join the Ghost Dance movement.[

In a few days will be the 140th anniversary of Custer's Last Stand.... This morning, I was thinking the face I created yesterday reminded me of Sitting Bull's face. So I gathered all photos of the Lakota leader and went to work on his features.. We'll see if it turns out or not.

Second day on this small figure.. I start out by showing some new ball tipped sculpting tools I purchased from www.etsy.com/shop/AMCreatures. I then start working out the face of a Cowboy.. Yep.. I'm doing a cowboy. Got as far as his hat. It didn't work out so I'll be redoing that next time I get to this clay.

I give a review of Chavant Clay in this video. It was a clay I started with back in the early 70s... Over time I tried other clays but they just didn't have the quality of Chavant. I received a large box of samples from Chavant and here I go through them and evaluate each on it's own merit for color and durability. Plasteline was developed by Claude Chavant in 1892, and trademarked in 1927. I think over the past 124 years, they've just gotten better with the clay product they produce. So I hope you get something from this video.

had 6 DVDs to prepare for mailing to a client. I just thought you'd find it interesting to see just how much goes into preparing my Instructional DVDs for mailing to those who order them.

I will be changing over from another good clay and start using Chavant Clay. I wanted to find the best clay from Chavant that meets my needs. Part 2 will show me actually testing the clays under my 100 watt bulb to see how it works for me
