Sweet Grass - Part 01 - I started the figure today of a Northern Cheyenne Girl

Sweet Grass is the name of this, Northern Cheyenne, girl. She's a figure and a name out of my own imagination. That doesn't mean that someone named Sweet Grass, didn't exsist. As with all artists in modern days, we have to dream of what may have been and bring it to life.

Transition

Decided over the weekend to not continue on The Protector, because the artmarket just won't work for a piece as big as this piece is. I've decided to do a smaller clay, and maybe do a female, Indian or Pioneer woman. Just not sure as of this video. See you in a couple of days.

The Protector - Creating the Foundation for the Re-Work

Made a weak armature when I first did this piece and so now I need to rebuild to recover this piece. If I can't then it's lost.

Coloring Two Bronzes Today

This was actually yesterday. I had computer problems and it's taken me two days to get this uploaded
The copies of the companion pieces, "WORTH MANY HORSES" and "FOUR BEARS".
These two busts were started the last part of 2010, and then were taken to Northwest Art Casting at the beginning of this year, to be cast into bronze.
This piece portrays the dilemma of courtship. This Blackfoot Warrior, "Four Bears", has practiced for weeks, to compose the perfect song for his flute, to impress his love interest, "Worth Many Horses". He's perplexed, because she seems not to be paying attention to him, and she's hiding her feelings. She has been moved.
These two pieces are sold as a pair or separately.
