Small Figure - Starts to take the Shape of a Famous Figure from the Old...

In a few days will be the 140th anniversary of Custer's Last Stand.... This morning, I was thinking the face I created yesterday reminded me of Sitting Bull's face. So I gathered all photos of the Lakota leader and went to work on his features.. We'll see if it turns out or not.

Small Figure Gets A Face and Hat Started

Second day on this small figure.. I start out by showing some new ball tipped sculpting tools I purchased from www.etsy.com/shop/AMCreatures. I then start working out the face of a Cowboy.. Yep.. I'm doing a cowboy. Got as far as his hat. It didn't work out so I'll be redoing that next time I get to this clay.

Reviewing Clay Samples From Chavant Clay

I give a review of Chavant Clay in this video. It was a clay I started with back in the early 70s... Over time I tried other clays but they just didn't have the quality of Chavant. I received a large box of samples from Chavant and here I go through them and evaluate each on it's own merit for color and durability. Plasteline was developed by Claude Chavant in 1892, and trademarked in 1927. I think over the past 124 years, they've just gotten better with the clay product they produce. So I hope you get something from this video.
